Following the release of its Pro and 4G models, it’s finally the turn of the realme 13 5G, as well as the 13 Plus 5G, to take the stage. Of course, justifying their separate launches within the span of two months, this pair of phones distinguish themselves from the rest of the family by not using Qualcomm Snapdragon chips.
Starting with the realme 13 5G, it comes with a 6.67-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset. This is paired with 8GB of memory, and a choice between 128GB and 256GB of storage. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery, but the charging rate is capped at 45W, instead of the 67W of the 4G model.
For its cameras, the realme 13 5G has a 50MP main + 2MP depth sensor camera combo, and a 16MP secondary shooter. Wrapping up the entire package is a body with an IP64 rating.
Moving on to the realme 13 Plus 5G, this has the same screen as its smaller sibling, but the chipset here is instead the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy. The battery here is also a familiar 5,000mAh, but the charging rate here is bumped up to 80W.
Cameras on the realme 13 Plus 5G include a 50MP main unit and an 8MP wide-angle shooter. In front, it shares the same 16MP shooter as the smaller model. The bigger sibling also gets a better water resistance rating, at IP65.
Considering both phones launched first in India, those are the prices that are immediately available. For the realme 13 5G, they are priced at INR17,999 (~RM928) and INR19,999 (~RM1,031) for the 128GB and 256GB models respectively. The Plus model comes in three configurations, which are 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB, which cost INR22,999 (~RM1,186), INR24,999 (~RM1,289) and INR26,999 (~RM1,392) respectively. No word on local pricing and availability details yet, at least at the time of writing.
