The DualSense Edge, PlayStation’s answer to the Xbox Elite series of controllers, released early last year, with a surprising degree of customisability. That being said, you needed the PS5 in order to access some of these, including the back paddle input, and the separate profiles for these. That has changed recently, with these functions being made available on PC via the PlayStation Accessories software.
PlayStation made the announcement via its account on X, previously Twitter. For those who already have PlayStation Accessories installed previously, an update should suffice rather than needing a full reinstall. Despite the new version though, the app only works for customising inputs for the base DualSense as well as the DualSense Edge.
Starting today PC gamers can unleash the full customizable power of the DualSense Edge controller directly on their computer.

On one hand, the additional utility is always appreciated. But on the other, this is really only useful if you want to use the controller on an Xbox for whatever reason. On PC, Valve added support and full input customisability for the DualSense Edge to Steam shortly after I wrote my review for it. But with the many games locked behind other launchers despite being bought on Steam, there’s probably more use for this than I give it credit for.
At any rate, if you want to start customising your DualSense Edge on PC, you can download the PlayStation Accessories software by hitting the link below. Or as mentioned, update it if you already have it installed.
