It’s been almost a year since Lenovo launched the beefy Legion Go gaming handheld. We mention this because, recently, the brand had decidedly launched a whole new lineup of accessories, dedicated entirely to the portable console.
These accessories include a new Carry Case, a docking station, a charging connector that allows you to connect the Legion Go’s detachable joysticks and transform them into a gamepad, and some extra joystick caps and tops in four different colours.
The new Legion Go Carry case is, at a glance, massive and almost certainly a lot chunkier than the original hard shell casing that the handheld comes with. Given its size, we’re assuming all those extra pockets are designed to house the other accessories.
The USB-C docking station looks simple enough, allowing to Legion Go to rest directly on top of it but it is a bit odd that the connecting cable is designed for the top USB-C port. As a quick reminder, the console actually has two USB-C ports: the first is at the top, while the second one is at the bottom. That aside, the dock features a USB-C for charging, another USB-port for files transfer, a LAN port, two USB-A ports, and an HDMI output port.
The charging connector is self-explanatory and is clearly Lenovo emulating what Nintendo offers for the Joycons on its Nintendo Switch, when they are detached. The major difference between the two is the additional battery inside the Legion Go’s connector that comes with a built-in 10.55Whr battery.
As for availability and pricing, Lenovo says the USB-C docking station for the Legion Go has been available since June this year and retails for €64.99 (~RM308). The new carry case is only going to be available starting January 2025 and will cost €29.99 (~RM144), while the controller charging connector will be available starting this October from €59.99 (~RM289). Lastly, the new joysticks and joystick caps will be available starting October as well, from €9.99 (~RM48) a set.
