X, formerly Twitter, is supposedly developing a new feature video conferencing tool called X Conference. At a glance, it resembles a video conferencing tool similar to Zoom. This tool is currently being tested internally within the company, and its functionality appears to be basic and still at its early stages of development.
According to X employee Chris Park, the tool may include features such as pinning speakers and improved notifications, positioning it as a potential alternative to popular conferencing solutions. Another app researcher, Nima Owji, has also noted that X Conference will support other features, including spatial audio and built-in captions.
First ever 𝕏 Conference meeting with some of my great @X and @XDevelopers teammates.
Already a really strong alternative to Google Hangouts, Zoom, AWS Chime, and certainly… Microsoft Teams 🤠

At current, X does currently offer person-to-person video calls and public broadcasts via Spaces, but X has faced technical issues during high-profile streams, such as the recent broadcasted talk between Elon Musk and Donald Trump.
That said, it’s a given that X still needs to carefully review privacy and security measures before rolling out its conference feature. When X introduced its calling feature earlier this year, it was activated for all users by default and lacked essential privacy protections like IP address masking.
Despite this, no other announcements on its official rollout have been made yet.
