The Samsung Galaxy A06, the new budget smartphone from the South Korean brand, is set to arrive in Malaysia soon as it has already been listed on its Malaysian website. Ahead of this, however, several retailers have already started promoting the upcoming phone and opening pre-orders, revealing its price tag.
According to these retailers, the Samsung Galaxy A06 will be sold in Malaysia at RM449, which is significantly cheaper than its predecessor, along with a single configuration and black, blue, and green colour options. It is unclear exactly when the phone will be available for purchase, but given the listings, we can expect an official announcement from the brand very soon.
The A06 sports a 6.7-inch 720p LCD display with a 60Hz refresh rate and a tear-drop notch. Internally, it runs on the same Mediatek Helio G85 chipset as the Galaxy A05, paired with 4GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
On the optics front, the lower-end device features a 50MP main camera without OIS, a depth sensor, and an 8MP selfie snapper. Powering the phone is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 25W charging.
