Apple is planning to unveil its new devices at an event scheduled for 10 September, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. The company will introduce the iPhone 16 models, new Apple Watch variants, and updated AirPods.
Following the event, the new products are expected to publicly launch on 20 September. Alongside the hardware, new software updates such as iOS 18 and macOS Sequoia are also anticipated to be released a few days before the devices officially launch.
Though the company has not officially confirmed the event date, Gurman claims that their information comes from an insider. We’ve covered the initial leak of the event’s flyer in the past but it has already been updated and confirmed false. The company is expected to send out the real media invitations for the event sometime next week.
The iPhone 16 series is expected to feature the A18 chip with Apple Intelligence integrated, supporting the latest iOS 18. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max will have slightly larger displays and will introduce a new Capture button on the side, specifically for taking photos. Further, the standard iPhone 16 models will also gain the Action Button, while the Pro lineup will have an upgraded ultrawide 48 MP sensor.
In addition to the new iPhones, the company may also be planning to reveal new Apple Watch models, including the Series 10, a new Apple Watch SE, and an updated Apple Watch Ultra. The new “standard” Apple Watch will have design changes including a thinner layout and a larger display. AirPods 4 will debut in two versions: a lower-end model similar to the current AirPods and a higher-end version featuring Active Noise Cancellation.
