Valve recently introduced Deadlock, a MOBA game that has generated significant buzz over the past few weeks. Apparently, thousands of players have already tested out the game, with some even leaking screenshots as well as gameplay footage. Despite this, the company was mostly quiet on the game’s existence for a while until its teaser was released over the past weekend.
Deadlock now has its own official Steam page. The page states that the multiplayer game is “in early development” and currently being tested by developers.
Right now, the game is still accessible only through invitations, and there is no release date or time frame provided on its Steam page. The brief 22-second teaser provided does not offer much insight into the game’s plot.
Gabe Follower, a Twitter account that has leaked information about Deadlock, shared a screenshot confirming that developers, streamers, and websites can now publicly discuss the game. However, Valve is still experimenting on it, with many elements, including graphics, being subject to change.
Deadlock developers allowed public conversations about the game. You can freely share and discuss gameplay footages from now on.

In May, YouTuber Tyler McVicker, known for his coverage of Valve’s projects, described Deadlock as the company’s attempt to create its next major competitive game, aiming to be as impactful as Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, or Dota 2. The timeline for when Deadlock will become publicly available and how developers may tweak adjustments to it during playtesting is still uncertain.
