iQOO has added two new members to the Z9 family with the Z9s series, which offer improved specs over the lineup. Made up of a vanilla model and a Pro model, the two devices have distinctly difference designs but share many of the same specs, with the main differences being found in the processor, camera setup, and charging speed.
Both phones sport a 6.77-inch 1080p AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, but the Z9s only gets a peak brightness of 1,800 nits while the Pro can go up to 4,500 nits. Under the hood, the base variant runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset while the Pro is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3.
On the imaging side, the two mid-rangers feature a 50MP main sensor with OIS, but the vanilla model only gets a secondary depth sensor while the Pro is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide, although both are equipped with the same 16MP selfie snapper. Additionally, both the regular Z9s and the Pro model are backed by a large 5,500mAh cell, with 44W and 80W charging speeds respectively.
The Z9s has a starting price of INR19,999 (~RM1,043) while the Pro retails from INR24,999 (~RM1,304). As of now, it is unknown if or when the series will be available in other markets.
