Google has launched a new all-in-one app called Google Essentials on PC, with the aim to further integrate its ecosystem into the Windows platform. The new app bundles some of the company’s core services, providing users easy access to the likes of Photos, Drive, Messages, and more.
The new Google Essentials app not only houses shortcuts to the tech giant’s most used services, but it will also streamline your Google account information and materials such as documents, photos as well as saved games from Google Play Games. It adds that eligible subscribers will also receive a two month trial of Google One cloud storage with 100GB.
According to Google, the all-in-one app will first be available on Windows PCs starting with new Hewlett-Packard (HP) laptops such as the Spectre, Envy, Pavilion, OMEN, and Victus models. It is immediately accessible from the Start Menu on Windows, and will allow users to easily switch between their phone and laptop.
The company also assures that Google Essentials, much like its other first-party apps, can be uninstalled by the user at any time. Google adds that it plans to make the Essentials app available on more Windows PC brands in the future.
