The Zotac Gaming Zone first made an appearance at Computex earlier in the year, as the brand’s contribution to the handheld gaming PC space. Now, with Gamescom underway, it looks like the event that’s ongoing in Germany is where the company has decided to launch the device.
With the launch, the company has also opened up pre-orders for the Zotac Gaming Zone in a number of markets, and for a price of US$799 (~RM3,495). This is a tad ironic as according to a statement from the company’s US rep to Tom’s Hardware, said pre-orders are not available in the region.
The rest is no real surprise, as back in Computex the company already said that the Zotac Gaming Zone will be getting its launch proper in September, with a price of around US$800. With the way things have transpired since, next month may be when it will become generally available. The spec sheet that was shared back then also looks to be unchanged.
That being said though, the only thing we know about the availability of the Zotac Gaming Zone locally is that it will happen. Amanz reports that SunCycle, the brand’s local distributor, has said that the device will be making its way to the local market, but its sale date and local price remains an unknown.
