Portable projector enthusiasts may have heard of the name Yaber T2 Plus, which as first launched in the US market back in June. It took two months, but the portable projector has now made its way to our shores, with the local launch having happened just recently.
As a portable speaker, the Yaber T2 Plus doesn’t actually look particularly diminutive. In fact, standing at 29cm it is quite sizeable, and looking more like a portable speaker instead. This may be intentional, as it can pull double duty as one, and if the JBL branding on it is any indication, it would be doing a decent job at it too. Using it as one, the company claims a battery life of 18 hours.
Though despite the way it looks, the Yaber T2 Plus weighs in at 2.4kg, which isn’t too bad. There’s also a handle that facilitates moving it around, which can also be used as a stand to angle the projector bit 15 degrees upward. That being said, its battery can only sustain the projector half of the product for 2.5 hours. Resolution is also locked at Full HD, but for what it’s worth projection brightness is rated at 450 ANSI lumens.
It’s probably worth noting at this point that what differentiates the Yaber T2 Plus from the regular model is the inclusion of a Google TV dongle in the box. It is otherwise identical to the base model, which it doesn’t look like the company is bringing to the local market.
The Yaber T2 Plus is priced at RM1,799, and is first available via the brand’s official stores on Shopee and Lazada. To find it on shelves, you’ll have to wait until next week, or specifically 26 August.
