[UPDATE: 19 August 2024 – 9pm]
CelcomDigi has responded to our query and clarified that the Celcom Life was delisted from Google Play last Friday due to a banner within the app that allowed customers to access Netflix directly. Following this, its team immediately issued fixed and resubmitted a new version on the same day, but are still waiting for Google to approve and relist the app.
While waiting for the Celcom Life app to reappear in the Android storefront, the telco is advising customers to visit its website’s help page if they require any support. Meanwhile, those who wish conduct payments or top-up their account balance are urged to visit https://get.celcomdigi.com/bill-payment or https://get.celcomdigi.com/reload respectively.

It was recently discovered that the mobile app for the blue half of CelcomDigi is missing from Google Play. According to X (formerly Twitter) user @andyKamezou, Celcom Life has been unobtainable via the Android digital storefront since Friday last week.
There’s a chance that the app’s removal is temporary, but it is unclear at this time as CelcomDigi did not provide any clarification, let alone a notice. And in case you’re wondering, Celcom Life is still available to iOS users via the Apple App Store.

It should be noted that users on Android can still use the app if they already have it installed on their device, and there have been no disruptions reported thus far. However, the app’s unavailability via Google Play would also mean that users won’t be able to receive any new updates either.
We’ve reached out to CelcomDigi for clarification and will update this article if we receive a response. For now, users are recommended to wait until the Celcom Life app returns to Google Play if they wish to download it for whatever reason. Reason being that sources outside of the official Android storefront could potentially harbour malware disguised as certain apps, and accidentally installing these will pose a major risk to your device’s security.
Thanks for the tip, @andyKamezou!
