Huawei has finally released the standard edition of its MatePad 11.5 S tablet. It was brought over to Malaysia back in June but at the time, the company only made the PaperMatte Edition available here. With the standard version of the tablet, it comes with exactly the same specs but without the matte finish on the screen, but it is also packaged with less storage.
The 11.5 S sports an 11-5-inch 2800×1840 LCD display with a whopping 144Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 500 nits, and multi-touch that supports up to 10 contact points. Under the hood, the device runs a on Kirin 9000WL processor paired with 8GB of RAM and only 128GB of internal storage.
For imaging, the tablet rocks a 13MP sensor with autofocus on the back while the front houses a fixed-focus 8MP camera. Powering the 11.5 S is an 8,800mAh battery with support for 22.5W charging. On the software side, it ships with HarmonyOS 4.2.
The MatePad 11.5 S will be available starting 23 August 2024 for RM1,799, but it can be pre-ordered from 19 to 22 August. A 3rd-generation M Pencil, worth RM699, will be included for free with every purchase of the tablet through the brand’s online store until 31 August 2024.
