About a month ago, ASUS opened up pre-orders for not only the ROG Ally X handheld gaming PC, but also its laptops running the AMD Strix Point processors. Despite these running only until the end of July, their availability did not start immediately as the calendar flipped over to the new month. That changed recently, as the company announced the availability of the aforementioned items.
The announcement was made on its official Facebook page. The post itself does not mention the price of any of the listed items, but hitting each link shows that their prices have remained unchanged since their pre-orders were opened.
To quickly go over what each product is, the ASUS ROG Ally X is the company’s attempt at addressing a fair number of criticisms that customers had with the initial model. The result is a handheld with twice the battery capacity at 80Wh, as well as now sporting 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4 storage. It still runs the familiar AMD Radeon 780M chip and the seven-inch Full HD IPS display. All of this is packed together with a RM4,299 price tag.
Next is the ASUS ROF Zephyrus G16 gaming laptop running the aforementioned AMD Strix Point processor. More specifically, this has a Ryzen AI HX 370, which is paired with 32GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and a choice of either 1TB or 2TB of PCIe 4 SSD storage. Storage space is also tied to the GPU you get, with the former coming with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, while the latter has a GeForce RTX 4070. Both share a 16-inch ROG Nebula OLED 2.5K 240Hz display, but price-wise, they cost RM11,499 and RM13,499.
Finally, the ASUS TUF Gaming A14, which runs a familiar AMD Ryzen AI HX 370, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060, 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of PCIe 4 storage, as well as a 14-inch WQXGA IPS Panel with a 165Hz refresh rate. This has an asking price of RM7,599.
