Yesterday, Xiaomi launched a whole lineup of new products ranging from monitors and smart TVs to smart bands and earbuds. The latest earbuds from the brand are the Redmi Buds 6 Active, skipping the Buds 5 Active entirely to succeed the Buds 4 Active, offering improved battery life for a lower price tag.
The Buds 6 Active are equipped with 14.2mm drivers and while they don’t have active noise cancellation, the earbuds do come with wind noise cancellation for calls. There isn’t any comprehensive EQ customisation, but it does provide five built-in EQ settings. You can even call up your voice assistant by touching and holding the buds. As for protection, the earbuds have an IPX4 rating for water resistance.
On the connectivity side, the Buds 6 Active feature Bluetooth 5.4 with support for Google Fast Pair. There is even a spatial audio function, but this is only supported when paired with Xiaomi 13, 13T, and 14 series smartphones. Battery-wise, they can last up to six hours on a single charge and up to 30 hours in total when used with the charging case.
The Buds 6 Active retail for RM99 and come in four colour options, including two colourways with transparent covers. Moreover, you can get these earbuds for only RM69 from now until 15 September 2024.
