WhatsApp has introduced a new range of sticker options for its Android update. A major addition is the integration of the GIPHY sticker library, allowing users to search for stickers using text or emojis from the latter’s wide collection within the app.
In addition to that, Whatsapp has also rolled out a custom sticker maker for Android users, a feature that was previously available only on iOS. This tool lets you create personalised stickers by turning images into stickers or by modifying existing ones with cropping, text, or drawings. Custom stickers can automatically be saved in a sticker tray.
It’s worth mentioning that the app now has an AI Stickers feature, which uses Meta’s AI to generate custom stickers. Currently, it’s available for users in the US on both Android and iOS, while the company is still undergoing tests for languages such as Spanish and Bahasa Indonesia.
The company has also somewhat improved sticker organisation within the app. Users can now move stickers to the top of their collection or delete them by tapping and holding. To add on, the app has a new Sticker Packs feature to roam through, and it’s being rolled out gradually.
