Last November, vivo launched the Watch 3, its latest smartwatch and the first to run on BlueOS, the company’s in-house operating system for wearables. While that was a while ago, the company is officially bringing the smartwatch to Malaysia, with the price tag already revealed by one of the brand’s own retailers.
According to vivo’s Sunway Pyramid store, the Watch 3 will retail for RM999 with a single variant that supports 4G cellular connectivity through eSIM. In China, the smartwatch launched in 4G and Bluetooth-only models. It is still unclear when exactly it will be available for sale, but it has been included in several V40 series teasers by retailers, so we can assume the two will be launching together next week.
To recap, the Watch 3 sports a 1.43-inch curved AMOLED display with a 466×466 resolution and curved bezels, as well as a rotating crown on the side. As for the battery life, the wearable can last up to 16 days on a single charge, but this is reduced to only seven days when eSIM remains activated.
On the health and fitness front, the device is equipped with sensors to monitor your heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, sleep and more. It can even keep track of all your workouts with 100 sports modes that include cycling, walking, running, badminton, and swimming, although it is important to note that it does not come with a water resistance rating.
