With the X100 family officially pushed over the line, the rumour mill spotlight is now on the vivo X200 range of devices instead. And as you’d expect, bits and pieces of the Pro model have started to surface, specifically details of its camera system.
As is frequently the case, these leaks come via Digital Chat Station on Chinese social media site Weibo. Running the post through machine translation, the leakster claims that the vivo X200 Pro will come with a 50MP f/1.57 main camera, with a 1/1.28-inch Sony sensor made on a 22nm process. Then there’s the 200MP f/2.67 periscope camera with 1/1.4-inch sensor.
No word on what the third camera at the back will be just yet, or if there will indeed be one, but considering the entire X100 line had a third camera, it’s unlikely the vivo X200 Pro will only run two. The leakster has also claimed in their post that the phone will be running a MediaTek Dimensity 9400, which is an expected upgrade over the 9300 of the X100 line.
For now, there’s no indication as to when the vivo X200 line will be announced. But considering that the X100 series, or at least the initial batch of two, got their home market debut in November of last year, this may be a safe window to be expecting the announcement.
