The OPPO Reno12 launched back in late June with a choice of two colours – Astro Silver and Matte Brown. If you’ve been considering one but the colour choices held you back, there’s some potential good news to be had. The company has announced a new colourway for the phone, and it will be launching later this week.
This new choice of paint over the OPPO Reno12 is what the brand calls Sunset Pink. It’s could be a nice in-between choice compared to the existing two, but beyond the new colour, the phone is exactly the same as it was two months ago. Which means it has the familiar 6.7-inch Full HD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Energy chipset, 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage, as well as a 5,000mAh battery that supports 80W charging.
No reason for the camera setup to change here either, so the pink OPPO Reno12 has the same 50MP main + 2MP macro + 8MP wide-angle camera combo at the back, and a 50MP front-facing secondary shooter. The press release sent out by the company did not mention the IP65 rating, but there’s really no reason for it to be sacrificed in the name of the new colour.
Finally, if you’re interested in the OPPO Reno12 in Sunset Pink, it will be available for the same asking price of RM2,199. As for availability, that will happen later this week, specifically on 16 August. The company says that it will be available via the usual channels, including its own online store. It has yet to be updated with the new colour choice, but check back later in the week if you feel so inclined.
