Last year, LG announced the MyView 27-inch Smart Monitor 27SR50F. More recently, the company has announced a larger model in the series, now in 34 inches. It’s still simply called the LG MyView Smart Monitor, just with this larger screen, it comes with the model number of 34SR65QC instead.
With a larger screen comes a higher resolution as well, meaning that the MyView 34SR65QC Smart Monitor now has a WQHD (3,440 x 1,440) resolution. And if you’ve noticed, it does indeed have a 21:9 aspect ratio, with which the company recommends splitting into a 16:9 window and a smaller 5:9 window on the side. It’s a VA panel that delivers 300 nits of brightness, as well as providing a 99% sRGB colour gamut coverage.
As before, the LG MyView 34SR65QC Smart Monitor runs the brand’s webOS platform. Nothing surprising, but the company is putting emphasis on its ability to be an entertainment platform on its own, highlighting abilities like streaming via services like Netflix to having Magic Remote compatibility.
Going back to its spec sheet, the LG MyView 34SR65QC Smart Monitor has a 100Hz refresh rate and a 5ms GtG response time, and there’s also HDR10 support. Connectivity options include screen sharing via WiFi mirroring, and available ports include two HDMI, and three USB.
The company says that the MyView 34SR65QC Smart Monitor is launching in the US and Korea this month, and at least for the latter, it has a price tag of US$349.99 (~RM1,566). Availability in other markets are noted as “to follow soon after” but we’ll let you know when we hear more from the brand.
