Less than a week after ZTE brought over the Blade A35, the company has introduced yet another entry-level offering with the Blade A55. Listed on its Malaysian website, as well as by multiple retailers, the phone costs RM50 more than its A35 sibling with the only notable differences being the storage amount as well as the camera setup.
The A55 gets a 6.75-inch 720p LCD display with the brand’s Live Island interactive notch feature. Underneath the chassis is a Unisoc SC9863A chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot for storage expansion.
For photography, the budget phone features a 13MP main camera with a depth sensor alongside it on the back, while the front houses an 8MP selfie snapper. Powering the A55 is a 5,000mAh battery with support 10W charging. On the connectivity side, it supports 4G, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
A representative of the company has confirmed with us that the Blade A55 retails for RM369. It comes in three colour variants, namely black, blue, and orange.
