MyDigital ID today has introduced the ability for the public to register online via its mobile application, saving the need to visit any of its nearby kiosks for authentication purposes. Signing up enables you to easily log in to various platforms such as MySejahtera, MyJPJ and the MyGov portal, in addition to speeding up the identity verification process.
“After signing up for MyDigital ID, Malaysians no longer need to log in into different platforms using different passwords, where only one verification system is needed for apps and portals to log in,” the company said. “In addition, through MyDigital ID’s current integration with MyJPJ, users who are registered with MyDigital ID will no longer need to perform another biometric verification at any JPJ counters.”
To register via the app (which is available on both iOS and Android), simply launch it and select “Daftar Online.” From there, you’re then required to provide an email address to receive a verification code. Once that’s done, all that’s left to do is snap a photo of the front and back of your IC, provide a self portrait, and then finally key in your name as well as IC number.
Since its introduction by prime minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in November last year, MyDigital ID says it has recorded over 600,000 Malaysians registering on its platform. The company adds that the system will soon extend to more government services, enhancing its reach and utility in the country.
