CelcomDigi and Maxis have begun building hype for the Google Pixel 9 series’ upcoming arrival to the local market. In case you missed it, Google Malaysia has officially confirmed today that it will finally launch its first-party Android smartphones in the country, much to everyone’s excitement.
Via social media, CelcomDigi has announced that customers can register their interest for the Pixel 9 series via its website in order to get the latest updates and offers. While it did not specifically say it will be accepting pre-orders for the devices just yet, we can safely assume that it will eventually offer the opportunity when the time comes.

Meanwhile, rival telco Maxis has enthusiastically revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that it will be accepting pre-orders for the upcoming Google smartphones during launch day, which falls on 14 August 2024. However, much like CelcomDigi, no details of the Pixel 9 series’ pricing are mentioned just yet.

So far, the two telcos are the only ones that are hyping the next-gen Google smartphones’ local arrival. It is unclear whether Yes 5G and U Mobile will follow suit, as their respective social media accounts and websites have not mentioned the Pixel 9 series at the time of writing.
