A recent Samsung report confirmed the Exynos 2500 SoC for the first time. The existence of the chipset was revealed in the company’s Q2 financial results report, where the South Korean tech giant highlighted the new chip’s role in the upcoming product lineup. This latest chipset, built on a 3nm process, follows the earlier introduction of the Exynos W1000, which debuted earlier this month.
The Exynos 2500 is expected to ship out with certain models of the Galaxy S25 series smartphones, specifically. If we are to follow the trend for the past three generations, that would mean the Galaxy S25 and S25+, while the Ultra variant get the latest version of the Snapdragon 8 GenX chipset. Samsung also detailed that its System LSI division, responsible for designing camera sensors and smartphone processors, is working diligently to ensure a reliable supply of the Exynos 2500 for most smartphone devices and flagship products for future lineups.
Samsung’s first 3nm chip, the Exynos W1000, has reportedly been well-received in the chipset market as of late. Now, the company appears optimistic that this new chip will meet consumer expectations without encountering significant issues like they have in the past.
