Lenovo has unveiled its newest version of the ThinkPad series called the ThinkPad T14s. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite chipset that runs on Windows 11. Now available through the company’s website, one thing that has caught everyone’s attention is the legs on the battery that is becoming a trend with Snapdragon X-powered laptops.
Specs-wise, the ThinkPad T14s comes with 32GB LPDDR5X RAM and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. For connectivity, it offers two USB4 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, a HDMI port, a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as support for WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. The laptop, supposedly, also has a 14-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2800×1800, HDR True Black 500 support, full DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage, and Dolby Vision technology.
One of its standout features, according to Lenovo, is that the laptop has a banging 29 hours of usage on a single charge, and the battery isn’t even that large at 58Whr. Finally, the T14s weighs about 1.2 kg in weight and is just 17mm in thickness.
The only other details to point out is that it also has a dual-fan cooling system, where one would be cooling off the Snapdragon chipset and the other would be for heat spots around the device itself. Currently, the Lenovo ThinkPad T14s is available in China for purchase but it’s also available on Lenovo’s US website listed for US$1,754 (~RM8,084).
At the time of writing, Lenovo did not specify local availability or pricing for the laptop.
