realme has officially unveiled its latest midrange smartphones in India, namely the realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+. Both variants are the first to feature Sony’s latest mobile camera sensors, which are enhanced by the brand’s own Hyperimage+ AI photography architecture.
Despite the different designations, the two realme 13 Pro models actually sport the same rear panel design with a large circular camera bump. Both models offer a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 1 billion colours, 120Hz refresh rate, 2000 nits peak brightness, under-display fingerprint scanner, and Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection. Similarly, they also feature stereo speakers, IP65 dust/water resistance, a USB-C 2.0 port, and three different colourways: Monet Gold, Emerald Green, and Monet Purple.
Under the hood, both the realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ feature a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset with Adreno 710 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, and up to 512GB storage. The duo also come with the same 5,200mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support, as well as dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.2 and 360-degree NFC connectivity.
Moving on to imaging, this is where the two phones finally differ from one another. The triple camera setup on the realme 13 Pro consists of a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary, an 8MP ultra-wide, and an unspecified third sensor. The 13 Pro+, on the other hand, features a 50MP Sony LYT-701 primary camera, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and an 8MP ultra-wide. In front, both models feature a 32MP selfie shooter housed within a cutout on their respective displays.
The realme 13 Pro starts from INR26,999 (~RM1,490) for the 8GB+128GB, whereas the realme 13 Pro+ starts from INR32,999 (~RM1,821) for the 8GB+256GB. Both phones are slated to go on sale in India on 6 August 2024. While the company has yet to confirm the series’ availability in Malaysia, its local Facebook page did previously tease of the phones’ potential arrival earlier this month.
