CIMB has officially laid out the plan to gradually wind down the services on the Clicks app. This comes after the bank announced in May that the Clicks app will no longer be available for download as it will be replaced with its more advanced OCTO app.
The first services that will be discontinued will be the ability to top up as well as e-Fixed Deposit placements and withdrawals starting August 2024. In September, the app will no longer support DuitNow QR transactions as well as foreign transfer services such as SpeedSend and Foreign Telegraphic Transfer.
Finally, the app will get rid of support for JomPAY along with CIMB Deals in October 2024. If you are still using the Clicks app, it is advised that you download the OCTO app as all these discontinued services are available on the latter. It can be downloaded through the Google Play Store, the Apple App Store, and even Huawei’s App Gallery.
The OCTO app was first introduced back in late 2022, touting a better user interface as well as improved security. It allows you to quickly check your balance and transaction history, use DuitNow, adjust transaction limits, schedule bill payments, use SecureTAC for online transactions, and more.
