Xiaomi has officially announced the arrival of a Redmi Pad Pro model that supports 5G. The tablet was launched here last month as a Wi-Fi variant, but now customers have the option of opting for cellular connectivity. It seems that this version does not come with a 128GB storage configuration while its other specs remain largely the same as its non-cellular counterpart.
The Pad Pro 5G comes with a 12.1-inch 2.5K LCD display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 600 nits, a 16:10 aspect ratio, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 for protection. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
On the imaging side, the tablet features an 8MP camera on both the back and front of the device, along with quad stereo speakers that support Dolby Atmos. Backing it is a 10,000mAh battery with support for 33W charging. As for connectivity, the device supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.
The Pad Pro 5G will be available for purchase from 26 July through retail stores as well as the brand’s online store and Shopee and Lazada pages. It will retail at RM1,799 and for early birds who purchase it from 26 July until 2 August, they will get a free keyboard.
