Infinix seems to be gearing up to launch two new mid-range smartphones, namely the Zero 40 4G and 5G. Nothing about them have been officially revealed yet, but key specs of both phones have been recently leaked. Notably, the 5G version seems to be slated for the Malaysian market as it has received SIRIM certification just today.
The Zero 40 5G was listed on 25 July 2024 with the model number X6861. While the 4G variant has yet to make an appearance, it is still early days as the launch date for both devices has yet to be announced. Judging from the name, it will clearly be the successor to last year’s Zero 30, which retailed at RM1,299.
As for the specs, the mid-ranger is expected to feature a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with curved edges, similar to its predecessor. It has been revealed through Geekbench that it will run on a MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, although the configuration will likely vary by market.
A design leak hints that it may carry a triple-camera setup, but it is unknown what sensors it will use. It has also been suggested that the Zero 40 5G will support 45W and ship with Android 14.
