It appears that Samsung has delayed the shipment of its Galaxy Buds3 Pro for the Malaysian market. This is brought to light by local X (formerly Twitter) user @rahmansallehin who shared a screenshot of the product’s pre-order page, which now shows an estimated arrival date of 30 August 2024. Prior to this, the high-end variant was initially planned to ship on 31 July.
Upon checking Samsung Malaysia’s online store ourselves, we can confirm that @rahmansellehin claims are indeed true. And it looks like the delay only applies to the Galaxy Buds3 Pro, while the base model is still scheduled to ship out late this month.
Seems that there also be a delay for Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro for those who pre-order. Delivery is 30 August 2024 rather than 29 July 2024@amanz @LowyatNET @1Obefiend @officialwisermy@Soya_Cincau @SamsungMalaysiahttps://t.co/Pf1b7z1bBw pic.twitter.com/0ccOl2qyNY

It is speculated that the delay is likely caused by quality control issues. To recap our previous report, early adopters have recently taken to Reddit and YouTube to point out a flaw with the Pro model’s ear tips, which are said to be quite fragile and are prone to being rendered unusable if removed incorrectly.
Like most earbuds in the market, the default ear tips are not guaranteed to provide the best fit to all users, hence why most manufacturers include different sizes along with their products. It is likely due to this which has caused the discovery of the flaw. And in case you’re wondering, the standard Galaxy Buds3 variant does not use ear tips, hence why it is spared from this ordeal.
In its response to our query regarding the matter, Samsung confirms that it has indeed delayed the shipment for the Galaxy Buds3 Pro in order to address the reported QC issues. Below is the company’s official statement:
“There have been reports relating to a limited number of early production Galaxy Buds3 Pro devices. We are taking this matter very seriously and remain committed to meeting the highest quality standards of our products. We are urgently assessing and enhancing our quality control processes. To ensure all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds3 Pro devices to distribution channels to conduct a full quality control evaluation before shipments to consumers take place. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.”
