Infinix seems to have quietly released yet another model into the Note 40 lineup, named the Note 40X. It is the sixth member of the series to be sold in Malaysia and so far, it is certainly the most affordable of the bunch and it seems to have a better chipset than the vanilla Note 40, but with downgrades in other compartments.
The 40X sports a 6.78-inch 1080p LCD display, the only one in the series without an AMOLED panel, with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 500 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
On the optics front, you get a 108MP main camera, a 2MP macro lens, and an 8MP selfie shooter. Backing it is a 5,000mAh cell which supports 18W wired charging and no wireless charging — notably, this is the slowest charging speed in the lineup. For connectivity, the phone supports 5G, NFC, Wi-Fi 5, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
The Note 40X is listed on the brand’s Shopee store in a single configuration for RM869. It comes in three colour options, namely green, black, and blue. According to the brand’s Facebook page, the affordable device is officially launching on 1 August.
