HONOR will soon be releasing a new entry-level smartphone as part of the X series called the X6b. The phone was announced for the global market last month and while the brand has yet to officially confirm the arrival of the phone here, several retailers have already listed the phone’s specs and local price.
According to a Facebook post from HONOR’s Raja Uda store, the X6b will soon be landing in Malaysia with a price tag of RM599, with other distributors listing the device for the same price. For now, it is unknown when exactly the phone will be available for purchase, but given the numerous retail listings, we can expect it to be announced soon.
The X6b is the most affordable model from the lineup so far, but it apparently comes with similar durability enhancements present in the X9b such as increased drop resistance. It has a 6.56-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 780 nits.
Inside the chassis, the budget phone runs on a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, although it is unclear if there will be other configurations offered at launch. For photography, it features a 50MP camera, a depth sensor, and a 5MP selfie snapper. Backing it is a 5,200mAh battery with support for 35W charging.
