We’ve gotten a handful of details about the upcoming realme C61, from its initial unveiling for the Indian market, to its local price as revealed by a distributor. More recently, the company says that the phone will be available locally very early next month.
More specifically, the brand says that the realme C61 will be available locally starting 2 August, which is exactly two weeks from the time of writing. That being said, the company has provided the press with an image of the phone that looks quite different to what was previously revealed. Where the device revealed for the Indian market had two rear cameras, the one coming to the local market looks to have three.
With that in mind, it remains to be seen if the rest of the realme C61 spec sheet will be maintained or changed when it arrives on our shores. But for what it’s worth, the phone was initially revealed to have a 6.5-inch 720p LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, a Unisoc T612 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space. The battery was listed as a 5,000mAh pack that suppports 10W charging, and cameras consisted of a 32MP main camera, an unspecified depth sensor and a 5MP front shooter.
A couple of things that look to remain consistent with the local iteration of the realme C61 though is that the company is still touting its durability and IP54 rating. As for if the rest, it looks like we’ll only find out in two weeks time, or whenever the brand decided to drip-feed more info.
