There have been rumours almost in equal measure about a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 getting either an Ultra variant or a more affordable one. None of them have materialised with the launch of what can probably be called the base model in light of the rumours. The latest on the possible foldable variant now is that it will be launching in October, but only in two countries.
If this ends up being the Chinese exclusive variant of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 called the W25, then it wouldn’t exactly be news, as serial leakster Ice Universe had made this claim last month. Though in this specific instance the variant is called the Slim.
More recently though, Max Jambor published a claim on German site Allround-PC that this additional model in the lineup will also be available in its home market of South Korea. The claim is made based on the firmware versions of the device discovered by Dutch outlet GalaxyClub, coming with KOO, KTC, SKC and LUC codes for a device with a model number of SM-F958N, indicating their use in South Korea. Jambor also claimed that the launch will happen in October, as he did with the Tab S10 line.
This corroborates somewhat the previous claim of a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 being exclusive to China, but also adding that its home market is also in on the exclusivity deal. With each passing rumour, it gets more and more unlikely that this device will be widely available.
