Local custom PC outfit Illegear has launched its new Neo 14 OLED laptop series which consists of two models: the Neo 14 and the Neo 14+. The duo are touted to offer the latest AI-powered Intel processors, top-tier visual quality, energy-efficient systems, and a host of advanced features.
Both models are equipped with a 14-inch WQXGA+ OLED 10 bit screen with 120Hz refresh rate, with the option to swap it for a WUXGA OLED 10 bit version on the base Illegear Neo 14 model. Other commonly-shared features between both models is a anodized aluminium back and front covers, silent keyboard with white backlit and a large touchpad, a fingerprint reader, as well as dual 4Ω 2W speakers.
Under the hood, the series is powered by 12th Gen Intel Core processors; an i5-12450H with Intel UHD Graphics on the Neo 14, and either an Ultra 7 155H or Ultra 9 18SH with an Intel Arc 8-core integrated GPU on the Neo 14+. As for memory, the former comes with 8GB DDR5 RAM that’s expandable up to 64GB via two slots, whereas the latter can be equipped with either 16GB or 32GB LPDDR5X 6400MHz soldered RAM. Both include a 500GB NVMe SSD, with the capability to expand up to 4TB thanks to its two M.2 slots.
Connectivity-wise, the Neo 14 and Neo 14+ comes with Intel Wi-Fi 6, a HDMI 2.1 port, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, a USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, a Thunderbolt 4 USB-C (with 100W PD charging and DisplayPort 1.4 support), an RJ-45 ethernet port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Additionally, the former features a 58Wh battery with an included 65W PD adapter, while the latter comes with a 60Wh battery with a 100W PD adapter.
The new Illegear Neo 14 laptop series will be available at the end of this month, with pre-orders now available via the brand’s official website. Pricing-wise, the base Neo 14 OLED starts from RM2,999, while the Neo 14+ OLED model starts from RM4,699. Illegear adds that pre-ordering either laptops now will entitle customers to a 5% cash discount, and a 24-month 0% instalment plan is also available.
