WhatsApp has introduced a new feature called “Favourites,” to its mobile app on both Android and iOS devices. This aims to integrate a more user-friendly experience which allows you to easily locate important contacts and groups at the top of their calls tab.
This feature acts as a filter for chats, making it quicker to access frequently contacted individuals and groups. WhatsApp began rolling out the new Favourites feature for some users today, and will eventually reach even more over the next few weeks.
This update essentially enables users to speed dial their most significant contacts directly from WhatsApp. This is particularly convenient, allowing you to easily find certain contacts without having to rummage through the list of chats in the main window.

On a somewhat related note, it was recently discovered that WhatsApp is currently testing a new feature in its beta version for Android (2.24.15.8) that allows users to translate messages within the app using Google Translate. In a way, this aims to provide translation capabilities similar to those offered by Galaxy AI on non-Samsung devices. However, there’s no official release date for this particular feature just yet.
