It’s been a month since ASUS debuted the ROG Ally X, the gaming handheld that the brand is calling an updated and refreshed variant of the original Ally. Now, the console is finally coming to Malaysia and preorders for it are already open.
Starting today and until 31 July, fans who preorder the Ally X will also be given a bundle worth RM658, while stocks last. The bundle includes an ROG Ally Premium Hard Case, an ROG Gaming Charger Dock, and a Screen Protector. You can preorder the console exclusive via the provided link, though it doesn’t look like ASUS is opening up preorders via the usual online shopping channels like Lazada and Shopee. Price-wise, the console retails at RM4,299 – that’s RM1,000 more than when the first Ally launched last year.
To recap on the Ally X and its specs, the gaming handheld still rocks the same Radeon 780M as its predecessor, as well as the same 7-inch Full HD IPS display. However, the console now features 24GB LPDDR5X-7500MHz RAM, 1TB of PCIe 4.0 storage but more specifically, it now supports the full M.2 2280 form factor, instead of the smaller, square-shaped 2230 form factor.
More importantly, it’s also got double the battery capacity, from 40Whr to 80Whr.
