It is rumoured that the Intel’s upcoming top-tier Arrow Lake-S desktop CPU, the Core Ultra 9 285K, could have a maximum boost clock of 5.7GHz out of the box. That would put it on par with AMD’s own powerhouse CPUs, the Zen4-based Ryzen 9 7950X and the recently announced Ryzen 9 9900X.
OneRaichu, one of X, formerly Twitter’s more prominent leaksters, posted a cryptic message on the platform, suggesting that the 285K may feature a peak boost clock of 5.7GHz. It is unclear what they mean by the 57/4 exactly; some internet sleuths think it is a reference to the all-core boost of 5.4GHz on the CPU’s P-Cores. Similarly, the 47/6 could be the all-core boost value of 4.6GHz on the E-Cores.
To provide another comparison, the 5.7GHz boost on all P-Cores – if that is the reference One Raichu is going for – would make it faster than the all-core performance for the P-Cores of the 13900K and 14900K, which are rated at 5.4GHz and 5.6GHz, respectively. Likewise, The same applies to its alleged 4.6GHz E-Cores performance, to which the 13900K’s E-Cores clock out at 4.3GHz and the 14900K at 4.4GHz.
Like Lunar Lake, the Arrow Lake-S 285K is expected to be powered the new Lion Cove P-Cores and Skymont E-Cores, and flanked by ARC Xe-LPG integrated graphics cores, although it is unclear if those cores are based on the Battlemage Xe2 cores.
So…
P-C 5.7GHz boost, 5.4GHz all-core;
E-C 4.7GHz all-core, 4.6GHz ring;🤔

The specifications of Intel’s Arrow Lake-S CPUs are still not yet officially, least of all the Core Ultra 9 285K, and the only factors that are seemingly confirmed are that Intel is planning on launching its desktop CPUs sometime in October, and with no less than six SKUs at launch.
