Earlier this week, Xiaomi teased the arrival of the OpenWear Stereo for the Malaysian market. While no other details were announced, the brand may have accidentally revealed the launch date and pricing of the wireless earbuds ahead of schedule.
The company has a listing of the OpenWear Stereo on its Shopee Mall store (with the usual placeholder price of RM9,999) and contained within the listing is a promo that will take place on 15 July, offering the earbuds at RM499. This is likely when it will be available for sale as well as the retail price, although there is a chance that this could only be a promotional launch price.
The OpenWear Stereo are a pair of open-ear earbuds with 17×12 dynamic drivers as well as 10mm sound leakage reduction drivers to prevent sound leakages beyond 25cm. They are equipped with ergonomic hooks with anti-slip material to keep the buds secure to your ears and weigh 9.6g each.
The brand claims that the buds can last up to 7.5 hours on a single charge with a total battery life of 38.5 hours when combined with the charging case. It supports the LHDC codec but only when paired with select Xiaomi smartphones and tablets. Additionally, the buds are rated at IP54 for dust and water resistance.
