Last month, realme announced a new budget smartphone called the C61. The latest addition to the C-series was expected to arrive in Malaysia eventually, but ahead of the local launch, one of its distributors has already listed the pricing of the phone.
MMG Distribution, which operates a couple of the brand’s stores in Johor, has listed the C61 with a price tag of RM499. It comes in two colour options and only one storage configuration, although it is unclear if there will be another configuration when it actually launches. For now, the launch date of the device is still unknown.
As for its specs, the C61 sports a 6.5-inch 720p LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 560 nits. Underneath the chassis, the affordable phone runs on a Unisoc T612 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, along with a microSD card slot for expansion.
For photography, the phone comes equipped with a 32MP main camera, a depth sensor, as well as a 5MP front shooter. Backing it is a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. Regarding protection and durability, it has an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance alongside an ArmorShell design, which claims to provide bend, drop, and scratch resistance.
