The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Flip6 are now official and just like clockwork, our local telcos already have their preorders offers up and ready for us. As usual, the participating telcos are Maxis, CelcomDigi, UMobile, and YES.
It should be noted that, except for YES, the remaining telcos all offer the 512GB variant of the Z Fold6 and Flip6 as part of the promotion. YES is the only the telco that currently offers the 256GB SKU for both devices. Given that this is a compilation, we’ve taken the liberty of creating small tables, breaking down as best we can their monthly payments, both for the phones and their corresponding preorder packages.
Maxis
If you’re planning on getting a Flip6 via Maxis, the lowest priced package the telco is offering starts at RM244 a month for the 36-month Zerolution plan and Postpaid 109. The monthly payment for the Postpaid 139 is RM264, while the Postpaid 169 will cost RM284 per month. The most expensive plan, which is the Postpaid 199, will cost you RM304 a month.
Should you opt for the 24-month Zerolution plan, the base Postpaid 109 payment jumps up to RM309 per month, the Postpaid 139 at RM329, Postpaid 169 at RM349, and Postpaid 199 at RM369. Should you just go with a normal 24-month contract, then, you’ll just have to pay the monthly cost of the Postpaid Plans, which are RM109, RM139, RM169, and RM199, until the full amount dictated by Maxis has been paid.
The pattern is the same for the Fold6, so we’ll simply provide simple graphs for the offers above. Oh, and from the looks of it, Maxis is one of two telcos that appears to be bundling their offers with Watch7 for the Fold6 and Buds3 for the Flip6.
CelcomDigi
Considering that CelcomDigi has a total of five Postpaid plans that apply to both phones, breaking this down was a bit of a doozy. At its cheapest, the telco is willing to offer as low as RM84 for the Flip6 under its One Pro/Ultra plan and RM144 for the Fold6 under the same plan.
Mind you, that’s only applicable if you opt in for the telco’s 36-month plan. If you’re going for 24-months, the monthly payment obviously jumps up in price, with the lowest price starting at RM184 for the Flip6 and RM225 for the Fold6.
On another note, CelcomDigi is the second telco that is offering the same accessory bundle with their devices. By that, it’s the Watch 7 for the Fold6 and the Buds3 for the Flip6.
UMobile
UMobile’s preorder for the Galaxy Z Flip6 and Fold6 are a bit odd in their layout, if we do say so. The telco only has one contract on offer, which is for 24-months on a principal line. However, you will need to choose between two packages, U SaveMore and U PayLater.
Opting for the former means that you would be paying RM98 per month for the Flip6, and RM282 monthly if you choose the U PayLater package. Likewise, the Fold6 costs the same with U SaveMore but if you opt for the U PayLater package, it’ll cost you RM377 a month.
YES
As mentioned, YES is the only telco that offers both the Flip6 and Fold6 in the 256GB capacity. They only have one contract, Infinite, which branches into three postpaid plans: Infinite+ Ultra, Infinite+ Premium, and Infinite+ Standard.
Do note that with the all three postpaid plans are only available to the Flip6, while the Fold6 is only available for the Ultra and Premium packages.
