Update (16 July 11:00AM): Microsoft has updated the availability list for both the Surface Pro 11 and Surface Laptop 7. Some have become exclusive to Harvey Norman – though this is not uncommon for the brand – while others are just no longer available. The latter category will be crossed out in the list below.
ORIGINAL STORY (11 July 3:40PM):
Microsoft has finally announced the local availability of its new ARM-powered Surface laptops, namely the Surface Pro 11 and the Surface Laptop 7. The two devices run on Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon X series processors and are packed with AI capabilities.
At the top of the list is the new Surface Pro 11, which is a 2-in-1 laptop with a 13-inch touchscreen with a 3:2 aspect ratio, a 2880×1920 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5. Coming in two flavours, users can choose between the Snapdragon X Plus or X Elite chips to power the computer, although only the latter variant comes with an OLED panel.
The company claims that with the new processors, the Pro 11 is up to 90% faster than the Surface Pro 9 and can even support up to three external 4K displays. It can be paired with either 16GB or 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD storage.
Microsoft claims that the Pro 11 can last up to 14 hours on a single charge. It has a 1440p camera on the back while up front, it houses a 10MP sensor for Windows Hello. For connectivity, it’s equipped with two USB-C ports and supports Wi-Fi 7 as well as Bluetooth 5.4.
The Surface Pro 11 configurations are priced as follows:
Snapdragon X Plus, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD: RM5,399

The 13.8-inch variant can be configured with either the Snapdragon X Plus or X Elite, but the 15-incher only runs on the latter. Similar to the Pro, both models are paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
The battery life of the Laptop 7 is much more impressive, with the tech giant claiming that the 13.8-inch version can last up to 20 hours while the bigger model can go up to 22 hours. The series also comes with more ports, including two USB-C ports, a USB-A port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, along with a microSDXC card reader for the 15-inch model.
