As you may have heard by now, CelcomDigi will soon be shutting down its Yoodo sub-brand at the end of August. Local MVNO redONE seems to be taking advantage of this situation by trying to entice Yoodo customers to switch to its service before the shutdown by offering some exclusive rebates.
Also using the Celcom network, the company is offering Yoodo customers a rebate of up to RM60 if they port in by 31 August 2024. The promotion is valid for two of its postpaid plans, namely 5G Postpaid38 SE and 5G Postpaid48 SE, which are packaged with six months of RM5 and RM10 rebates respectively.
Postpaid38 SE costs RM38/month and comes with “unlimited” data, “unlimited” YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram usage, 40GB of hotspot, and unlimited calls. The unlimited data in question actually comes with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) limit of 40GB for 5G+4G as well as an additional 30GB exclusively for 5G, making it a total of 70GB. The unlimited social media app usage is also limited to 50GB at 6Mbps.
On the other hand, Postpaid48 SE is priced at RM48/month and gives you 50GB of 5G+4G and 50GB of 5G, totalling 100GB with 50GB of hotspot usage. There is also “unlimited” internet usage capped at 100GB with a speed of 6Mbps. Once you have switched over, the rebate can be found in the rewards tab of its app.
