Logitech G has introduced the G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse, a high-end gaming accessory designed with advanced features. This mouse comes equipped with six programmable buttons and wheel, dual-wireless connectivity options, and a 25K tracking sensor. Additionally, the G309 sports a newly designed ergonomic shape that enhances user comfort during prolonged gaming sessions.
The G309 Lightspeed incorporates Logitech’s HERO 25K sensor and is compatible with the company’s Powerplay technology and Lightspeed wireless connectivity. Despite its premium features, the mouse is offered at a more affordable price point. Users have the option to use the G309 with or without an AA battery. When paired with Logitech G’s optional PowerPlay wireless charging system, the mouse can operate without the 18g AA battery, making it lighter and more nimble.
The power-efficient HERO 25K DPI sensor in the G309 allows a single AA battery to last for over 300 hours with a 1ms report rate. If users switch from Lightspeed to regular Bluetooth connectivity, the battery life extends to more than 600 hours. Despite its advanced technology, the mouse is not bulky, weighing only 86g with the battery and reducing to 68g when using the PowerPlay system.
The G309’s Lightspeed wireless technology is designed for high-performance gaming, offering faster speeds than most wired mice. The combination of Lightspeed technology and the HERO 25K sensor provides up to 25,600 DPI resolution without acceleration or smoothing. Additionally, Lightspeed can connect two devices with one receiver using the G Hub’s Device Pairing Tool, allowing users to pair the mouse with other Logitech devices like the G515 TKL Lightspeed gaming keyboard.
The G309 also features hybrid optical-mechanical switches, known as Lightforce switches, which provide fast, reliable, and precise performance. These switches combine galvanic contact parts for tactile feedback similar to mechanical switches and use ultra-low-latency optical actuation, ensuring a highly responsive and satisfying gaming experience.
The Logitech G309 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse is priced at $80 (~RM376), available in black and white colourways. Also included in the package is a Lightspeed USB receiver, USB cable extender, grip stickers, and an AA battery. Unfortunately, it is unclear whether the mouse will be available for the Malaysian market at this time.
