The CMF Buds Pro 2 had already made an appearance in the SIRIM database, suggesting that it would launch alongside the Phone 1. Which is exactly what happened, but another accessory by the Nothing subsidiary has also made an appearance, in the form of the Watch Pro 2.
Now that the veil has been lifted off of the CMF Bud Pro 2, one can argue that one of the dial-related teasers applies to this, rather than to the phone. Called the Smart Dial, this allows you to not only control playback, but also adjust volume when turned. Pressing it, on the other hand, toggles noise cancellation, voice assistant, mutes the microphones, and even toggles a Low Lag Mode. These functions can be tweaked via the Nothing X app.
The spec sheet of the CMF Buds Pro 2 is also pretty sound, at least on paper. We’re looking at a 11mm driver with a 6mm tweeter combo, support for LDAC and Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification, as well as spatial audio. Hybrid ANC is handled by six microphones. Playback time is rated at 6.5 hours or up to 25 hours including the case, with LDAC. Using only AAC codec, and this goes up to 11 hours and 43 hours respectively.
Moving on to the CMF Watch Pro 2, this has a 1.32-inch 466 x 466 60Hz AMOLED always-on display with a peak brightness of 620 nits. It comes with the standard range of health tracking features like heart-rate and sleep tracking, automatic recognition for 120 sports, and even a tracker for menstrual cycles. You can also use it to take calls as long as it is connected to your phone via Bluetooth. There’s no rotating bezel, but you have an interchangeable one instead in case one doesn’t fit your style.
The CMF Buds Pro 2 has a RM299 price tag attached, while the Watch Pro 2 costs RM339 instead. They won’t be immediately available though, as the company says they will only be on sale starting 15 July. Of course, in the meantime, you can head over to the official CMF site, linked here, to learn more about them.
