Mercedes-AMG Malaysia officially launched the C63 SE Performance F1 Edition today. First announced back in September 2022, the car is a sedan with a plug-in hybrid engine, featuring a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine that is also capable of generating 476 PS, which translates to 469HP or 350kW of power.
At the very base of its performance, the C63 SE Performance F1 Edition has a 0-100km/h acceleration of 3.4 seconds. Additional specifications of the car include an all-wheel drive system, a nine-speed AMD Speedshift MCG 9G automatic gearbox that is coupled with a wet multi-plate clutch.
As it is a hybrid, the C63 SE Performance F1 Edition also comes with an electronic drive unit (EDU) that you’ll find nestled in the back. Specs-wise, it outputs 204 PS, which translates to 201hp or 150kW, 320Nm. That, and it also comes with a two-speed gearbox that can still operate the all-wheel drive system. All by its lonesome, the EDU and the 6.1kWh Li-Ion battery allows the car to run for 13km.
Coupled together with the C63 SE Performance F1 Edition’s main engine, what you get is a vehicle with a total output of 671hp or 500kW, and 1,020Nm of torque.
The Mercedes-AMG C634 SE Performance F1 Edition will retail for RM958,888 on the road and that is before insurance and road tax are factored in. Delivery for the vehicle is expected to commence from August 2024 onwards.
