There have been pretty convincing leaks surrounding the physical aspects of the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra. But there has been little for leaksters to work with when it comes to their spec sheets. At least, until now, with the specs for both smartwatches coming from a slightly surprising source.
The source in question is Dealabs, which has been a source of gaming leaks for awhile. Though to be fair it was also where the European prices of the Nothing Phone (2) first appeared.
But going back to the wearables, first up is the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra which, perhaps unsurprisingly, comes in only a single 47mm configuration. It runs a Super AMOLED 480 x 480 screen, an Exynos W1000 chipset, a 2GB + 32GB config, and a 590mAh battery. “Fast wireless charging” is mentioned, but not the specific charging rate is not mentioned.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3, with WiFi and 4G, and rounding out the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra package is the IP68 rating. On the software side of things, it runs Wear OS 5.0, with the One UI Watch 6.0 overlay.
As for the Samsung Galaxy Watch7, these come in 40mm and 44mm flavours, both with Bluetooth-only and 4G options. The larger variant has the same screen resolution as the Ultra model, while the smaller one has a 432 x 432 resolution instead. Similarly, the larger model has a 425mAh battery, while the smaller one gets a 300mAh pack instead.
RAM, storage, software, IP rating and connectivity options are the same on the Samsung Galaxy Watch7 as it is on the Ultra. Minus 4G connectivity for the non-4G models, obviously.
Finally, we get to what is claimed to be the prices of these watches. Having only one config, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra has only one price, which is EUR699 (~RM3,545). As for the Galaxy Watch7, the prices for the 40mm and 44mm models are EUR319 (~RM1,618) and EUR349 (~RM1,770) respectively for the Bluetooth models, with 4G models getting a EUR50 premium on top.
