The Redmagic 9 Pro was launched earlier in the year, but as is usual with the series, an S model is already on the way. No imagination necessary as to what it will be called – the Redmagic 9S Pro. And it looks mostly similar to the phone that came before.
Images of the Redmagic 9S Pro have appeared on Chinese social media Weibo, showing off the phone coming in two colours, each also getting their fancier variants. At a glance, there’s very little to tell the 9 and 9S apart, besides some logos being moved around, and the 09 being replaced by 9S.
No specs of the Redmagic 9S Pro were shared, but from the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 branding, it’s likely that it will be sporting the same chipset as the previous model. Considering the 9 Pro already game with 12GB + 256GB and 16GB + 512GB configs, as well as a 6,500mAh battery woth 80W charging, it remains to be seen what sort of improvements the S version will have over the current ones.
That being said, it probably won’t be long before we find out what the spec sheet of the Redmagic 9S Pro will be like. The aforementioned Weibo post also mentions a 3 July launch date. While this more than likely refers specifically to the phone’s home market, it will give us an idea of what it will be packing when it arrives on our shores.
