CMF is set to launch the Phone 1, its first ever smartphone, next week and ahead of this, we may have an indicator of the phone’s availability in Malaysia. The upcoming smartphone by the Nothing sub-brand has received certification from SIRIM, which likely means that it will be arriving here soon after its debut.
The Phone 1 was listed on SIRIM just today with the model number A015. It will be launched on 8 July 2024 alongside the Buds Pro 2 and the Watch Pro 2, but there is no word yet on whether the latter two will make their way to the Malaysian market.
While there have been several alleged leaks, the brand itself has already confirmed a few key specs. The Phone 1 will sport a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, running on a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and a 5,000mAh battery with up to 16GB of RAM. Moreover, there will be a special dial on the back as well as a proprietary accessory connector.
According to leakster Yogesh Brar, the smartphone’s battery will support 33W charging. It will apparently also feature a 50MP camera and a depth sensor on the back, along with a 16MP shooter up front. On the software side, it will reportedly ship with Android 14 out of the box.
