HMD seems to be gearing up to launch a new feature phone in Malaysia as the brand has quietly listed the Nokia 235 4G. The modern dumb phone was announced by the brand back in April alongside the 215 4G and 225 4G, with this being the highest-end model of the three.
The 235 is essentially the same phone as the 215 but with a 2MP shooter with a flash on the back, so you won’t have to go around camera-less while still being able to enjoy a smartphone-free experience. It sports a 2.8-inch IPS LCD display with QVGA resolution and comes in black, blue, and purple colour options.
Powering the tiny device is a Unisoc T107 chipset paired with 64MB of RAM, 128MB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot that supports storage expansion up to 32GB. The feature phone operates on S30+ and comes with several cloud apps such as news, weather, and YouTube shorts, as well as classic games like Snake.
On the connectivity side, it supports 4G, FM radio, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Powering it is a 1,450mAh removable battery with a USB-C port for charging. For now, the brand doesn’t seem to be selling additional batteries separately.
The 235 4G has been listed on Nokia’s official Shopee store for RM350.90. However, you won’t be able to buy it yet as it doesn’t seem to be in stock, so you’ll have to wait until the brand announces the phone’s availability.
